10 Strongest DC Villains Captain America Could Beat

0

Captain America’s iconic status is impossible to deny. Forging his legend during World War II, his return to heroism in the present has transformed him into something mythical. Cap has proven to be one of the toughest fighters on the planet, punching well above his weight class, and is an incredible leader and tactician. He’s faced some of the deadliest villains in the Marvel Universe and beaten them all.

Cap is always up for a challenge, and DC villains would be just what the doctor ordered. It’s a powerful group, but some of the strongest would fall on Cap.

ten Merlyn’s archery wouldn’t help him against Cap

Merlyn turned out to be one of the deadliest assassins in the world. There are few who are better with a bow and arrow, and he is also a highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant. None of this will help against Cap. Cap has trained with one of the greatest archers in his universe and knows all the tricks.

Beyond that, Cap’s shield will allow him to defend against most of Merlyn’s attacks. He has the best assassin in almost every category: he is faster, stronger and more skilled. As good as Merlyn is, he’s unlikely to last long against Cap, as the Sentinel of Liberty is just too much for him.

9 Deadshot will miss Cap and it will cost him the fight

Deadshot is one of the most fearsome mercenaries in the DC Universe. A longtime member of the Suicide Squad, he made a name for himself due to his sniper ability and no-prisoner attitude. Although he proved deadly for many, he’s never really faced someone like Cap before, and that will make all the difference in their fight.

Deadshot is pretty much just a high level rogue when it comes down to it. Cap has been dodging bullets for a long time and his shield is the perfect weapon against Deadshot.

8 Killer Croc would barely get a hit on the cap

Killer Croc surrounded by enemies.

Killer Croc isn’t the smartest villain, but he doesn’t have to be. His bestial strength, scaly skin, teeth and claws make him a dangerous foe. Unfortunately for him, it’s also not something Cap hasn’t faced before. While Croc has a strength advantage, his lack of finesse and reliance on raw power is going to make things very difficult for him.

Cap’s entire fighting style relies on impenetrable defense and fluid offense. It’s tailor-made for fighting someone like Croc, and it wouldn’t be long before Cap took down the bad guy. Even with all of his physical dominance, Croc is unlikely to be too offended.

seven Poison Ivy cap would not fit

poison ivy

Poison Ivy is the kind of villain whose goals are strong, even if her methods are extreme. Her ability to tap into the green makes her a dangerous enemy and will allow her to do damage to Cap. Although Cap doesn’t have a fancy utility belt full of gear, he’s long been looking to get out of traps, which will save him in a fight against Ivy.

One of Ivy’s biggest problems in any fight is how she gloats over her opponents. She can’t really help herself, and that’s how Cap would win. He would buy time while coming up with a plan and blast her at the last moment, knocking her down.

6 Solomon Grundy is too dumb to beat Cap

Batman - Solomon Grundy.

Solomon Grundy is one of DC’s strongest henchmen, a zombified powerhouse whose strength vastly outweighs Cap’s. That’s not going to help him much against the Star-Spangled Avenger, though. Cap is all about fighting someone like Grundy smartly, and once he realizes Grundy is a zombie, he’ll use the shield to slice him up.

Cap’s acrobatic style, combined with the power of his shield as a sharp offensive weapon, is going to give him victory. Grundy will grow increasingly angry and frustrated as the fight goes on, but it will all be for naught. He’s not smart enough to win a battle against Cap.

5 Mr. Freeze’s weakness is too apparent for Cap to Miss

Mr. Freeze

Mr. Freeze is one of Batman’s most tragic villains. He is also one of his most fearsome, as his freeze ray and armor make him an offensive juggernaut. However, he has fairly easily exploitable weaknesses, which will doom him to Captain America. Cap is smart enough to realize that breaking his helmet or rupturing his coolant tanks will take out his icy foe and will work hard to position himself to do so.

It won’t be easy, however, as Mr. Freeze also knows just how simple he can be to beat. It will be a very good fight, but Mr. Freeze will end up losing.

4 Cap And Ra’s al Ghul would be an amazing fight

Ra's al Ghul is proud.

Ra’s al Ghul is one of DC’s most accomplished villains, a man whose genocidal plans challenge even the smartest hero. On top of that, he’s a formidable opponent, his centuries of skill and Lazarus Pit-enhanced physique allowing him to take the fight straight to his foe. There’s no doubt that Ra would be a dangerous foe for Cap, and their fight would be incredible.

It’s rare for Cap to fight someone who’s actually better than him, and that’s Ra’s al Ghul in a nutshell. However, that doesn’t mean Ra will win the fight. Cap has been beating his best for a long time, and while it wouldn’t be easy, he would defeat the immortal villain as well.

3 Bane’s Venom Enhanced Muscle Doesn’t Give Him Enough Advantage On The Ceiling

City of Bane Batman

Bane is one of Batman’s greatest enemies, and he and Cap actually have some things in common. Both are physical powerhouses that are also quite cerebral. There’s no doubt that Bane could use Venom to boost his strength to be greater than Cap’s, but that won’t be enough. Cap is so far ahead of Bane in the skill department that he will take this fight.

It all comes down to Cap’s potent mix of defense and offense. The shield is such a versatile weapon, and Cap’s ability to hit an enemy with it from any angle gives him an offensive edge that Bane won’t be able to overcome.

2 Vandal Savage’s wrath will be his undoing to Cap

Vandal Savage is one of DC’s most dangerous immortals, a villain with a hundred thousand years of experience. He’s smart, strong, and fast, but he’s also pretty easy to exploit. Vandal’s emotions can be harnessed, allowing Cap to claim victory. Cap will play the villain like a fiddle, and that will make all the difference.

Savage can be pushed into mistakes quite easily. So while his experience vastly surpasses Cap’s, it won’t matter. Cap will make him angry, he’ll get sloppy, and that’s pretty much the end for him.

1 Deathstroke and Cap would have a battle of super soldiers

Deathstroke stalks Gotham City.

Deathstroke is known for taking down all kinds of superheroes, but he’ll meet his match with Cap. Both men are super soldiers, with Deathstroke’s serum giving him advantages in the physical and intelligence departments. This will make the fight very difficult for Cap, but he is used to being at a disadvantage against his enemies.

A fight between Cap and Deathstroke would be memorable. Both men have so much skill and experience, and their matchup would take it all into account. Cap will realize he’s outclassed and try to use this to his advantage, putting Deathstroke in a position to gain the advantage.
