The three Captain America the movies were one of the most cohesive trilogies in the MCU until Spider-Man launched. While no installment looks like the other two, each of the three has gone a long way in further developing the Marvel Cinematic Universe according to what audiences know today.
Even still, some Redditors dispute individual elements of each installment. From the tonal difference of Captain America: The First Avenger to the overcrowded nature of Captain America: Civil War, Reddit users will always find something that they think is wrong. Usually, this is followed by substantial theories of how the filmmakers should have done it differently.
What are they? Stormtroopers?
One of the smartest decisions Captain America made in the MCU was to stand up against his bullies, but even they turned out to be more difficult than some HYDRA soldiers.
Bowdallen thought the enemies behaved in an abnormal way, and they found it somewhat distracting. As the Redditor asserted, “Enemy soldiers would sometimes walk up to the good guys with their guns down. I understand it’s a challenge to get a guy with a shield to beat people with guns, but it looked like they should have spent more time on it. “Should a viewer see again The first avenger, they would probably see what the Redditor is about. Skinny Steve looked really weird
The majority of Redditors believe that Captain America: The First Avenger successfully completed the CGI-based body swap which was Cap’s transformation.
Theheisenburgg, however, has created a thread to go into the details of their issues with the film, and the body swap is on the list. Like they said, “There are so many things that are ridiculous or that just don’t make sense. Plus, young Steve looked really weird and that got me out of there.” While it’s unfortunate that the Redditor was taken out of the movie, they ignore the fact that it couldn’t really be done more transparently (especially in 2011). Plus, it’s not so much Steve Rogers getting older as it is getting an upgrade.
Why is this a soap opera?
One of the most charming and little-known facts about Captain America: The First Avenger was probably not at all The taste of Redditor. When Peggy Carter reaches out and touches Steve Rogers’ chest, a new buff, it was an improvised moment by performer Hayley Atwell.
The scene goes well, and the character’s instinctive response went a long way in increasing the romantic tension throughout the film. There are quite a few Redditors who, 8 years ago, were watching Captain America: The Winter Soldier hoping to get a lot more from the Soldier. Pinkpiddypaws, for example, said: “A friend of mine said the title should have been, Captain America: Agent of Shield… The Winter Soldier just wasn’t such a big role and it really was. bad.”
While the lack of Winter Soldier may have pulled the Redditors out of the movie (at least in terms of their expectations), but SpencerTucksen brings up the important point of how they “prefer to have an awesome character the whole time they’re around. that’s slowly getting a little boring. ” Had audiences been inundated with the character, his impact would have been belittled, but it still seems like some preconceived notions don’t fit.
Wait, how could Spidey do that?
Among the characters introduced in Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man quickly became the frontrunner (tied with the much-missed presence of Chadwick Boseman).
However, one wonders whether or not he could (so easily) stop the swinging of the Winter Soldier’s metal arm. As Colbo7 put it, “That look on Bucky’s face when Spider-Man stopped his punch … I mean he has a habit of smashing his face with that arm, even Cap can barely block him, then CE KID grabs him just halfway through …. “The Captain America point is interesting and true. These two characters looked equal, and it’s a little hard to believe that Spidey is much stronger than Cap without being pulled out of the narrative a bit.
Keeping Bucky around is illogical
An undeniable trait of Captain America will always be his loyalty, but even he had to know that Bucky was an extreme responsibility. Most Redditors seem to think Stark was right and Cap was not acting rationally (even for the logical flaws required for blockbuster cinema).
Gremlech asks “Which judge of Bucky’s character really has Tony? The incredibly biased Steve Rogers or the fact that he’s behind several of the most influential assassinations in recent history.” To which nolaphim adds that Stark “literally watched his mother get strangled to death by the man 5 feet away from him about 10 seconds ago.” The points of both Redditors are solid. Regarding this last point, Cap may be friends with Bucky, but he’s also friends with Stark. At one point, he was wrong not to let Stark know what had happened to his parents. It’s an objectively strange turn for a character so built on ethics.
Vision Statistics
Civil war is one of the more complicated entries in the MCU as a whole, because it’s all about drawing lines in the sand. The action is incidental (if not equally formidable). Dialogue is especially important in Cap’s third film because it defines the future for so much more than the main character.
Goldlizardv5 took issue with a statistic provided by Vision, in particular. The quote is about how guilty the Avengers are about the world conflict. “Do you want to know what upset me? Vision’s statistic on ‘half of all doomsday threats are caused by the existence of the Avenger.’ See the problem? Unless they’re causing ALL of the end-of-the-world threats, then they have a net positive, because THE WORLD STILL EXISTS. “It’s the type of dialogue clip that sets the tone for conflict. raised. One who is both interpersonal and in preparation for a larger external threat. That’s the statistic Thanos ends up rendering irrelevant, and the Redditor’s calculations verify his logistics.
