Barcelona captain Sergi Busquets has denounced the club’s lack of communication.
Currently away with Spain on international duty, the Busquets were disappointed to learn of the possibility of pay cuts from the press.
“I’ve heard a lot of things being said and when I come back from vacation I don’t know what they’ll tell me,” he told a news conference.
“I wish they would tell me and not find out elsewhere, but I’m always ready to help. They didn’t offer us anything, they didn’t tell us anything beyond what we hear from you [the press].
“It’s not the best decision to do it through the press, it’s always better to be direct and face to face.”
When it comes to Spain, Busquets believes his squad still needs polishing up.
“We were a very good team, solid and compact, maybe we missed the success to win a game that we deserved,” he said.
“It’s going to depend on when we get to the World Cup, when we see the other teams… in the end we have to focus on what’s to come and in my case learning from the experience that these tournaments have given me.”
