TikTok is everywhere and a bus driver in Singapore has been using it to educate and entertain since January 2021.

Passing through the @yourbus captain handle, he uploaded a video April 20 showing a particular bus line on the 975 service to Lim Chu Kang that will give people goosebumps.

He drives this bus.

Cheap thrill

For those who want cheap thrills, you can also service bus ride 975 from the Bukit Panjang bus interchange, which goes to Lim Chu Kang Camp II and then to the Chinese cemetery.

As seen in the video, the bus will enter a certain stretch of road that has no working streetlights.

The bus driver is required to turn on his high beam to ensure that there are no people or other vehicles along the dual carriageway at the time.

As seen in the video, the road appears isolated with hardly any cars coming from the opposite direction.

The bus will then make a loop and return to the Bukit Panjang interchange.

reactions

Reactions to the video have been positive.

Those who commented expressed genuine curiosity about what bus drivers should do when something unexpected happens.

One person asked what happens if there is no one on board but the bell is pressed while heading to an empty bus stop.

The bus driver responded with a laughing crying emoji, “Please don’t think about the bus driver unnecessarily.”

One commenter said: “I heard from someone that the bus has to stop and open the door at a certain bus peak ‘to get someone off’. I don’t know how bad it is is right.”

In response, the bus driver wrote, “Yes, that’s right. Open the door for a few seconds, then just say thank you. Close the door and leave.”

Another commenter complained and said: ‘My uncle used to drive the 975 he told me stories it’s so scary.’

Other commentators played along and said the 975 service bus drivers were the bravest and deserved hardship allowance.

Other interesting videos

The bus driver also provided other interesting information in his TikTok videos on his channel, such as how they don’t get lost thanks to an accurate GPS map on the bus that they can follow when in doubt.
