The Golisano Children’s Museum in Naples has announced that actor Anthony Mackie, globally recognized for playing Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and who took over the shield as the last Captain America, will be this year’s special guest at Night at the Museum: Superheroes Unite! Friday, February 18.

The annual Night at the Museum gala is CMON’s biggest fundraiser of the year and has become one of Naples’ most beloved events. Night at the Museum: superheroes unite! is hosted by Event Chairs Sonya and Brian Sawyer with Honorary Chair Shelia Smith Davis. This year’s fundraising gala will feature a variety of heroic performances and exceptional experiences throughout the evening, including a VIP meet and greet opportunity with Anthony Mackie.

The Night at the Museum event was created to be a fun and playful evening for one serious reason – to inspire children in the Southwest Florida community. This fundraiser helps support CMON, a non-profit organization, to provide a fun and educational space where families can play, learn and dream together.

Superheroes unite! recognize the talent and dedication required to found and operate the museum, as well as that of the heroes of our community. Just as Captain America has dedicated his life to helping others, so too have the service men and women, first responders, and teachers of our nation.

“I believe we have a responsibility to do our best to leave the world a better place than we found it,” said Dena Rae Hancock, CEO of CMON. “Just as superheroes and heroes in our community do, CMON strives to make meaningful differences in people’s lives.”

Sponsorships and tickets are available for the benefit gala at cmon.org/ events/night-at-the-museum/. ¦
