In the latest issue of Marvel Comics Captain America: Sentinel of FreedomSteve Rogers recalls the secret wisdom given to him black panther dad. Revealed during his quest to uncover the true symbolism behind his weapon of choice, Captain America recalls advice given to him by King T’Chaka, the former king of Wakanda who gave the US government the metal vibranium that would go become the classic Rogers shield. Turns out this new issue shows that T’Chaka gave Cap some pretty solid advice.
In previous issues of Sentinel of Liberty of Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly and Carmen Carnero, Steve Rogers uncovered a massive conspiracy involving his iconic shield. Learning that the weapon he wielded for decades symbolizes a shadowy organization known as the Outer Circle, Roger’s journey to learn more led him to an experimental German power plant. Having made enough noise to warrant the group’s outright reveal, Rogers was shocked to see a massive ship resembling his shield as they deployed The Redacted, a new vibranium-covered villain tasked with taking out Captain America at any time. price.
Now the new Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #3 sees Rogers being chased through the power plant by The Redacted. However, the super-soldier also reveals the two pieces of wisdom King T’Chaka gave him on the same day the Wakandan ruler gave the vibranium metal sample for his shield. Not only are the tips helpful in the present for Cap, but they further prove just how powerful vibranium really is.
Having picked up on the first piece of T’Chaka’s wisdom right away, the idea that vibranium could teach Captain America and that he should listen is a pretty compelling concept that would take longer to learn. Case in point, Steve uses his shield to feel the vibrations of power surging beneath him beneath the ground. As such, he then uses this knowledge to shock The Redacted by using his shield as an epic conductor.
Obviously, the wisdom that Captain America received from black panther father was taken to heart and put to good use. Vibranium is one of the most powerful and unique metals in the Marvel Universe, and it’s the one that Captain America is smart enough to respect and listen as T’Chaka advised.
