Agent Carter star Hayley Atwell teased a possible spin-off series, featuring her character and Captain America, detailing the couple’s life after the events of Marvel Studios Avengers: Endgame.

As reported by The Direct, Atwell explained: “Okay, well, in my mind, Steve is tired and he wants to sit down, and he’s had plenty of time to put together a fantastic cookbook because he’s a fantastic cook,” said she declared. Atwell went on to outline the different roles Peggy and Steve would play, noting how the former Avenger could become even more appealing to the agent. “Peggy is busy, she didn’t wait [Steve]”, she explained. “She’s been busy and she has things to do. And what’s great is that Cap is okay with that because he’s a feminist. He’s not worried about it. He lets her go and live her best life and realize her true potential because he knows the contribution she has to make to the world, and that makes it even more appealing to her. That’s my premise.”

Despite a recent appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Peggy’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is unclear, with no discussion at this time of when the agent or his “Captain Carter” variant will reappear. The Marvel star, however, remains hopeful.

“I would love to feel that, if Marvel found a home for her, it’s a home that feels worthy of her in terms of [her] evolution as a character and development as a character,” she said. “The experience I had playing her gave me the most incredible opportunity to hone my particular craft in this franchise. . And I want to do more and because I feel the fans deserve it.”

Atwell has appeared several times as Captain Carter, first in animation What if…? series, then in live-action in Multiverse of Madness. Neither appearance was in the main universe. Her live appearance was somewhere in the multiverse, where she was a member of the Illuminati. She is, however, killed by Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, along with the rest of the group. Despite the mystery surrounding Captain Carter’s future, there have been rumors that a solo Captain Carter project is in development.

Agent Carter and Avengers: Endgame are available to stream now on Disney+, with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to hit service on June 22.
