Australia is a popular market for luxury yacht builders and is home to spectacular yachts for charter and sale. Fast becoming a top destination for superyachts, the pristine cruising grounds and growing industry continue to attract larger superyachts based in Australian waters.

Australian Superyachts leads industry expansion, a multi-faceted yachting services company that offers an impressive range of Gulf Craft yachts for purchase as well as management, technical and agency services to superyachts visiting Australia.

The yachting services company joins hundreds of exhibitors from across the yachting industry at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show 2022. Managing Director Richard Morris spoke to Iolande Skinner of From the Deck to discuss the superb range of superyachts from Gulfcraft.

Gulf Craft is one of the largest producers of superyachts by combined length and is quickly establishing itself as a key player in the global superyacht industry. Its 9,290 square meter production facilities are unrivaled and its workforce of over 1,500 people is skilled and highly experienced.

While other superyacht producers struggle to fulfill orders on time, Gulf Craft’s turnaround time is industry leading and the ships produced by the company are considered to have a naval architecture of the highest quality on the water.

The design is another strong point; the company uses prestigious Italian firms to create timeless, contemporary interiors and stunning silhouettes in constant consultation with clients and other stakeholders.

As for the people behind Australian Superyachts, the team draws on extensive experience working on some of the biggest and most famous superyachts in the world, including, of course, Managing Director Richard Morris.

These yachts have to look good, but they also have to look good. I am a master sailor, I know the sea well on ships and yachts. Gulf Craft yachts are real ships.

They specialize in providing advice on how to acquire the correct certifications in order to charter a superyacht from Australia and are adept at assisting vessels to obtain the correct clearances to do so, including commercial investigation of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority and safety management systems.

With Gulf Craft’s ability to produce commercial superyachts in accordance with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority’s National Commercial Vessel Code; this is our point of difference… No shipyard knows this better than Gulf Craft.
