RUSSELLE, Charles Joseph (The Captain)
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Charles J. Russelle (Captain) on Saturday July 23, 2022 with his beloved wife by his side at Extendicare Lakefield in his 94th year. Devoted and loving husband of 73 years of Lorretta (Dunford). Proud and loving father of 12 Ron (Hank (Johanna), Gail Emery (Al), Nancy Sullivan (late Dan), Jerry (Val), Chuck (Deb), Jane Killen (Gerard), Susan Field (Glen), Joe , Peter, Teresa Foley (Pat), Lisa Lytle (Mike), predeceased by youngest son Michael Dear Poppa of 25 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren Predeceased by parents John A. and Theresa E. Russelle (Curran) Dear brother of Jack (late Mary) predeceased by Harry (late Joan) predeceased by Jean Gallagher (late Jack) William (Ruth) Dorothy Newburn (late Ken) predeceased by Raymond (late Carolyn) predeceased by Terrence (Bonnie) , Judy Crough (Paul), Mary Houston (Dave), Robert (Jean Moloney).
Brother-in-law of Marg Godfrey (Larry) Jean Ferreri (Sam), Gord Dunford, Delbert (late Marilyn) John (late Paula), predeceased by Everett (late Anna), predeceased by Vera McIssac (late Dan), predeceased by Glad Pearson (late Merv), predeceased by Helen Foote (Al). Chuck’s family business started in 1946 and was known for service and towing. He and his brother Bill started selling used cars in 1963. Soon after, in 1970, they got the Toyota franchise. In 1980, Chuck decided to go it alone. He has always had a love for the road going to several dealerships where he has made many friends over the years. He was still active in selling cars until the mid-1980s. He had a solid reputation and had many loyal customers who only wanted to buy from him. A private Memorial Mass was held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Young’s Point, followed by a burial at Our Lady of Good Counsel Cemetery.
