Julian Edlow:
I think as the show goes on you see more of that star power and maybe you want to spend a little more as a captain. I’m not sure exactly what we’re going to see initially here, so I think it’s hard to justify paying that much.
But if we want to go halfway – if you look at the betting segment with Matt (Meiselman) and I earlier, we talked a lot about Al Horford because Rob Williams won’t play, which I kind of lean towards sort of, or play and be limited because he just wasn’t the same guy we saw earlier.
So it’s a good game for Horford size-wise, in terms of scoring in the paint, getting more rebounds with limited Williams and going out and shooting all three. I just see a balanced game there from Horford, and it’s kind of a balanced captain’s choice.
Jeff Pratt:
Julian, I agree with you. I think Al Horford is a pretty good option here at $11,400. I said this yesterday when I was but there’s so many different formations these teams can run so I’m wary of picking a role player as captain until we see a game and that we have an idea of how these guys are going to be used.
I know Al Horford are going to play more than 30 minutes tonight. It doesn’t matter (whether) the Warriors get big with Kevon Looney or small with Jordan Poole, there is a place for Horford on the court. And he doesn’t need to score a lot to produce from a fantastic point of view. He’s had double-digit rebounds in three of his last five games, at least three assists in every game since late April against the Nets and he’s also been racking up blocks lately. So I ride a 35 year old Horford. He apparently also found the fountain of youth.
I think there are a few options you can consider paying down. Derrick White is a guy I put forward. I think he’s going to see the ground a lot. But right now, I’m riding with guaranteed production, and you get it at Al Horford.
