Glitch Productions has announced a July 22 start date for the third and final season of Meta Runner. The upcoming series debuted with a trailer that teases everything “coming to an end.”

Meta Runner is an Australian computer-animated cyberpunk web series created by Kevin and Luke Lerdwichagul. It is produced by Glitch Productions, funded by Screen Australia, funded with support from Crunchyroll and AMD, and funded in association with Epic Games.
CEO of Cutting Edge Animation and creator of Captain Zero has finally pulled the covers off its long-awaited project with a new short film complete with some sort of panel discussion after the premiere to discuss the status of that project and the future of the franchise.
Captain Zero: Into The Abyss is an animated short that delves into the psyche of Xerxes Hughes, a social media-obsessed teenager whose double life as a superhero and battle with depression has led him to search for a therapy.
It’s the brainchild of Fund winner Ida B. Wells, Lamard Cher-Aimé, and stars Angelica Ross (FX’s “POSE” and “American Horror Story”) as the voice of Xerxes therapist and confidant Dr. Niobe.
You may remember a project called trill league which we’ve been covering for some time now. The franchise was originally purchased years ago from Adult Swim which ultimately died only to find a home with 50 Cent’s production company which ultimately helped justify a move to the Quibi streaming service. , now extinct.
After Quibi shut down, creator Anthony Piper vowed to try and get this thing done, however, aside from two print adaptations of the series, nothing from the franchise ultimately came to fruition and Piper noted on social stories that he planned to do his best elsewhere. What it will be, we don’t know, but here’s the trailer for trill league and what it all could have been.
