AGC Design is looking for a Job Captain/Project Architect with excellent design skills and a solid knowledge of architectural design. This position will involve all stages of design and construction documents, with an emphasis on mixed-use commercial, office and retail work of all scales.
The main function of a Job Captain/Project Architect is to take responsibility for the production of quality contractual documents while following the directives of the project manager. The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of work experience in construction documents
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, drawing, design or equivalent
- Previous experience working on mixed-use commercial projects
- Knowledge of specifications and construction details
- Knowledge of California building codes and LEED standards
- Ability to work independently, demonstrates professionalism in dealing with a variety of customers and suppliers
- Experience in preparing construction documents and observing in the field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Photoshop is a plus)
- Driven, energetic and organized, with strong graphic design and communication skills AGC Design is a planning, architecture and engineering firm based in Valencia, California. We currently have a hybrid work-from-home schedule that includes bi-weekly meetings in Valencia, CA.
