Job Intermediate Captain (5-7 years of experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project team members to success in a collaborative environment.
  • Work directly with project managers, project architects and partners while providing advice and mentorship to emerging designers.
  • Coordinate projects with clients, consultants and internal team members throughout the design and production phases.
  • Participate and lead coordination meetings with consultants and clients.
  • Prepare accurate construction documents using the highest level Revit software.
  • Results oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage parts of complex projects.
  • Research project zoning and building codes for Type I, Type III and Type V multi-family residential projects (podium, wrap, ground level, market rate, affordable, student and senior).

Experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in architecture from a NAAB accredited school.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in architecture with 2 years of experience in multi-family residential projects.
  • 3 years of Revit experience – proficiency in Revit is mandatory.
  • 2 years of production drawing experience from design development to construction documents and through the permitting process with Type I, Type III and Type V construction projects.
  • A good working knowledge of California building code, handicapped access requirements and zoning codes.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, team player, eager to learn and provide constructive feedback to the team
  • Assume ownership of assignments, meet deadlines and budgets with diligence and quality design.
  • Able to work effectively in an open and collaborative team environment with a desire for professional growth.
  • Experience in CA and construction projects is a plus.
  • Architect registered or in the process of obtaining a license.
