Job Captain Junior (2-3 years of experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Support project team members towards success in a collaborative environment.
  • Work directly with project managers, project architects and partners.
  • Help coordinate projects with clients, consultants and internal team members throughout the design and production phases.
  • Prepare accurate construction documents using the highest level Revit software.
  • Stay focused on results, stay organized and work to meet project deadlines.
  • Participate in zoning and project building code research for Type I, Type III and Type V multi-family residential projects (podium, wrap, ground level, market rate, affordable, student and senior) .

Experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in architecture from a NAAB accredited school.
  • 2-3 years of architectural experience (experience in multi-family residential projects is preferred).
  • Experience using Revit to produce design and production drawings.
  • Minimum of one year of production drawing experience from design development to construction documents with Type I, Type III and Type V construction projects.
  • A working knowledge (and a strong desire to learn more) of the California building code, disabled access requirements, and zoning codes.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, team player, eager to learn and provide constructive feedback to the team.
  • Able to work effectively in an open and collaborative team environment with a desire for professional growth.
  • Experience in CA and construction projects is a plus.
  • Architect licensed or in the process of becoming licensed is a plus.
