Marvel’s Avengers Adds Captain America’s MCU Winter Soldier-Era Costume

Another of Captain America’s Marvel Cinematic Universe costumes added to video game Marvel’s Avengers.

The costume Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers wore in the 2014 Marvel Studios movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier is available on Marvel’s Avengers‘ in the Game Marketplace starting Thursday, August 25. The game’s official Twitter account made the announcement with the quote “On your left”, which Steve said (and repeatedly) to Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson in The Winter Soldieropening minutes. Sam finally returned the favor in 2019 Avengers: Endgame.

Of course the winter soldier the skin isn’t Cap’s first movie-inspired costume to make its way to Marvel’s Avengers. After all, Steve Rogers wore many different iterations of his iconic suit during his time in the MCU. Since its launch, Marvel’s Avengers also added Captain America skins inspired by Marvel Studios films such as Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War and the above End of Game.

In fact, despite being set in its own universe, the video game has added plenty of MCU-inspired skins to its list of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. More recently, developer Crystal Dynamics gave Jane Foster/Mighty Thor a skin inspired by her appearance in Thor: Love and Thunderthe latest feature film from Marvel Studios.
