Michigan State Police announced Tuesday morning that after 34 years of service, Capt. Christopher Stolicker will retire from the Michigan State Police effective April 1.
Prior to joining the Michigan State Police, Captain Stolicker served in the United States Army.
He joined the Michigan State Police in 1987 and served as a private in Gaylord and Mount Pleasant stations.
Stolicker was promoted to sergeant and served with MSP Ithaca Post from 1998 to 2001, then was promoted to lieutenant, serving as commander of the Central Michigan Law Enforcement Team.
In 2004, Stolicker was promoted to first lieutenant and served as station commander at Cadillac, Kalkaska and Mount Pleasant.
Nine years later, in 2013, Stolicker was promoted to Inspector and served as Deputy District Commander in the Seventh District.
In 2015, Stolicker was again promoted, but this time to the rank of captain. He served as commander of the MSP’s Special Investigations Division.
Since 2019, Stolicker has been the commander of the Sixth District and officially began his duties in the Seventh District on March 24, 2020.
