Captain America becoming an iconic character, recognized around the world, is something few comic book fans saw coming. Outside of his first comic book run in the 1940s, the character never became a huge hit in his native medium. In the comics, Captain America has always been overshadowed by his Marvel peers and DC Comics competition.

Consequently, obscure stories in the Cap lore are being exploited for movies and video games with increasing frequency. One such story is how Captain America met T’Challa’s grandfather when he was the Black Panther during World War II. For decades it seemed like this story would remain confined to the comic books, but now it’s finally reaching a wider audience.
In the video linked above, you can check out the teaser for the new Captain America/Black Panther WW2 game created by former Unexplored writer Amy Hennig.
