MUL-MAC is a Los Angeles-based architecture, interiors and design firm specializing in custom residential homes, commercial and residential interiors, group commercial and adaptive reuse projects. We are a full-service company, providing programming, design expertise, construction documentation and construction administration services. We are currently looking for Project Architects/Job Captains in our two Los Angeles and newport beach desks.
As each client is unique, each project we design is also unique. Through intense initial discovery, we deliver projects that go above and beyond, all created without ego.
We are an agile group of thinkers and creatives. Our team members are encouraged to participate in every project and every step because a complete designer makes a great designer.
Roles and responsibilities
- Coordinate projects through all administrative and technical phases of design/build project efforts
- Produce, manage and coordinate project documentation
- Determine technical requirements for design and manage communication with clients and consultants
- Organize the search for products and construction methods related to the projects
- Balance design intent with necessary code, programming, and budget needs
- Resolve technical and design issues with the team
Qualifications
- Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program
- Five to 10 years of experience
- Permit preferred but not required
- Legal right to work in the United States
- Advanced knowledge of the following:
- Building documents
- ADA building systems, codes and requirements
- Contract administration
Skills/Knowledge
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Revit is obligatory.
- Thorough knowledge of design principles and standards
- Advanced documentation and field observation skills
- Advanced skills in interior architecture
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead junior staff through a combination of direct authority and subject matter expertise
