Malayalam superstar Mammootty, known for his impressive work in all languages, commands a wide range of fans across the country. The 70-year-old actor recently visited Sri Lanka. The actor who was in the neighboring country to shoot his next film was welcomed by the former captain of the Sri Lankan cricket team, Sanath Jayasuriya.
The cricketer ace took to his Twitter account to share pictures of his encounter with the Malayalam megastar. Jayasuriya, who was once known for his fierce striking, went on to call the actor “a true superstar”.

The Malayalam megastar was in Sri Lanka to shoot his upcoming film ”Kadugannawa Oru Yatrakuripp” directed by renowned filmmaker Ranjith. He was last seen in ‘Bheeshma Parvam’, CBI 5: The Brain’, ‘Puzhu’. While “Bheeshma Parvam” directed by Amal Neerad earned over Rs 100 crore at the box office, her nuanced performance in Ratheena-directed “Puzhu” was well-received by critics and viewers.
The ‘Madhura Raja’ actor will next be seen in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’, B Unnikrishnan’s ‘Christopher’ and Nisam Basheer’s ‘Rorschach’.
