Shortly after at birth, Dawson was diagnosed with pulmonary vein stenosis, a condition that results in the narrowing of the veins. He had a cerebral hemorrhage as a baby; he’s had stents put in and he’s feeding off a feeding tube. Dawson has developmental issues and is verbally limited, but he’s the happiest kid ever.
