Laurent Koscielny’s stay at Arsenal ended badly and it seems that the same fate has befallen him again in Bordeaux.

The 36-year-old will no longer be a Bordeaux first-team player, with the club opting to exclude him due to too many individual errors on the pitch and a salary of € 3m (after taxes), which is considered far too expensive for its return to the field.

The former Arsenal captain has only played 11 times for Bordeaux this season and his club have conceded 44 goals in Ligue 1.

Bordeaux should also “exclude” Paul Baysse and Mehdi Zerkane due to “bad behavior”.

Koscielny is terminated at the end of the season, having signed a three-year contract when he left Arsenal.

The center-back tried to convince the Gunners to let him go for free in the summer of 2019, saying it was what he was promised as he refused to go on a preseason tour.

In May of last year, he was back claiming that Bordeaux had also broken their promises to him.

Koscielny finally apologizes for the way he left Arsenal

Laurent Koscielny has apologized to Arsenal fans for the way he left the club, more than a year after controversially joining Bordeaux.

Speaking to the media, Koscielny apologized to Arsenal fans for the video announcing his move to Bordeaux.

For those who haven’t seen him one way or another, the center-back pulled off an Arsenal shirt to reveal a burgundy top underneath.

Many Arsenal fans took offense at this, suggesting it was disrespectful to the club he has spent so many years with. Koscielny claims he didn’t see what was wrong then, but wants to apologize now.

“I had an incredible nine years there, a lot of memories with this club,” Koscielny said (via GFFN).

“I know my Bordeaux announcement video made a bit of noise, I want to apologize to the fans for that, I didn’t expect this to affect them the way it has been. case.”

The announcement video was really the straw that broke the camel’s back, as Koscielny made mistake after mistake when it came to public relations. Most notably, as captain of the Arsenal club, he refused to go on the preseason tour to force a move.

He then pushed Arsenal to let him go for free, even though his suitors clearly had the money to spend on him.

Bordeaux paid around £ 4.6million for the transfer so there was no point in asking for a free transfer.

Some will probably still be angry with him for that summer.

But maybe others will now accept his apologies and remember the good times as well.
