How to defeat Octavian the Militia Captain in V Rising
The first thing you must do before you fight Octavian the Militia Captain is to wait until midnight. The fight takes place in an open area with no shade, so if you fight the boss during the day, you’ll take more damage from the sun than from the boss. You can find Octavian in Dunely Bastion, north of the Dunley Farmlands region.
Octave has 5 attacks. The first is when Octavian slams the ground which launches four blades towards you. It’s his regular attack, and to dodge this attack, just dash to the sides. Its second attack is also a swing attack that sends a large blade towards you. You will be stunned if you are hit by both of these attacks.
After counterattacking his regular attacks, he will summon a fire archer. Whenever his health is depleted, he will summon a fire archer, so it’s best to destroy them before summoning another one. His fourth attack is a bit thicker as he will first dash towards you, then perform a series of sword attacks followed by a ground slam.
