Tottenham Hotspur’s 2022-23 pre-season schedule is starting to take shape. Today the club announced that they will play a pre-season friendly against Scottish Premier League side Rangers FC on July 23, and the game will take place at the historic Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow.
We are delighted to confirm that our men’s first team will travel to Ibrox for a pre-season friendly against Rangers on Saturday July 23.
See you soon, @RangersFC!

Spurs have already announced a pre-season trip to South Korea, home of star Son Heung-Min, also during July, although full details have yet to be announced. Additionally, last month David Ornstein reported in The Athletic that Spurs were also working on a stopover in Israel for a pre-season game. This trip to Israel has not yet been confirmed, so we don’t know if this game against Rangers comes in addition or in replacement of the trip to the Holy Land.
That’s pretty cool if you ask me. Rangers have risen from the dead in recent years after being thrust into administration and relegated to the Scottish Third Division a decade ago and are back to challenge Celtic for the SPL titles. Ibrox is a beautiful old stadium and it should make for a super fun day out for visiting Spurs fans who are lucky enough to get a ticket for the game.
In their official announcement, the club announced that the game will be shown on their new SPURSPLAY streaming service (details, again, to come) and on Rangers TV.
